API key's domain limitation

Michael Jan 09, 2018 06:35AM GMT

I can't find any options to limit the usage of our own API keys.

This means that if we subscribe to, for example, Developer Plan, after we release our page,
other people can see our not-free API key and use it on other sites, correct?

Are there no ways to prevent this from the API or API key generation setup?

We would like to limit the API key access to certain site domains, like:
- API key 1, usable only in *www.aaaaaaa.com/*
- API key 2, usable only in *www.bbbbb.com/*

Best regards,
Michael.

Hello,

Thanks for the requests.

You can not limit the usage of your API key.

If you publish your API key in opensource than yes, other people can see it.

The thing that you can do is that to use different API calls for each website.
