widget to display PWS data ?

Jerome Nov 09, 2017 09:24PM GMT

Hello all, and thanks for this great tools.

I develop a personnal weather station, based on a Raspberry Pi device, and i Use Open Weather Map to post my weather data. I collect indoor temp° and outdoor temp°

I got an API key and I succeed to call the Weather Stations API : create Stations (one indoor, one outdoor), post measurments ect.

Now i want a nice solution to display my data. I expected OpenWeatherMap to provide a widget dedicated to display Personal Weather Station data, but i cant find it. On the "widgets" section of the website, widgets are only for cities (London ect).

Is there a already made Widget to display data of own personal weather station ?

Thank you.

Hello Jerome,

Thanks a lot for using Openweathermap.

However, the widgets do not include the weather from the private weather stations created using this API:

There is no functionality to include the private weather stations data in the global weather model.

We have this plans. However, the exact dates can not be specified.

Thanks for this answer. I will work on my side on a similar tool. If i'm satisfied with the result, i will opensource it and publish it on GitHub.

I am trying to use the html code for widget. However, I can always see 'validation error' just next to the API key. Not sure of the reason. Is it also the reason why widgets are not working for me. Please help.

The widgets are based on the 16 daily forecast API .

The 16 daily froecast has been transefred to the paid version of the service.
It has been in the beta mode previously.
However, the testing period has ended.

It is now available starting from the Startup plan.
Prcing for your reference:

Thanks for understanding.
