Rainfall in Current Weather Calls

Michael Neumann Jan 10, 2017 05:24PM UTC

I am attempting to call current weather data for one location ( for use with integration with Google Adwords. The main value I am concerned with is the last 3 hours of rain but it isn't being return with my call ([redacted]&q=Eureka,us] even if the API current reports rainfall (meaning that should be some data to report).
I can get the rainfall if I use the forecast call ([redacted]&q=Eureka,us) but that causes errors elsewhere.
Has the last 3hr rainfall total been removed from the Current Weather call API?

No, the rain value is reported by current weather API.
Please note next:
If you do not see some of the parameters in your API respond it means that these weather phenomena are just not happened for the time of measurement for the city or location chosen. Only really measured or calculated data is displayed in API respond.
It is also possible that the precipitation is not enough strong and indicators do not measure it.

That doesn't seem correct as I can query several locations, all of which are experiencing significant rainfall and none of them will return the rain value. Can you provide me a link that returns a rainfall amount. Surely, somewhere in the world has had measurable rainfall in the last 3 hours.
