Wrong weather description for Sacramento CA

Robert Anthony Jun 06, 2019 10:12PM BST

For the past couple days (maybe even longer, not sure because I am new to OpenWeatherMap) it shows the current weather for Sacramento, CA as being "Rain" / "Light rain" when it is totally clear / no clouds outside. I live in Sacramento and also just looking at weather.com and other sites it is obvious there is an issue here as those sites report clear skies. Even OpenWeatherMap's forecast API endpoint correctly shows the weather as being clear, but the current weather API endpoint says there is rain.

The URL I'm using is:
http://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather?id=5389489&APPID={MY_API_KEY}&units=imperial

There are two Sacramento, US cities being reported by OpenWeatherMap / Weather tab (on this website). The correct one is the first one listed, with lat/lon being 38/-121.

Thanks,
Robert

Hello Robert,

Thank you for request.

Now I see status Sky is clear, and no rain. Maybe there was local fault on one of weather stations. I set this city on monitoring, please let me know if this happen again, I will check the sources.
