HTTP Request Headers

Ken Holt Apr 25, 2019 07:45PM BST

I am developing a small Arduino-based IoT project, and I am manually sending the HTTP request headers. I am getting a valid response from your servers, but the stream is incomplete; it stops mid-element.

I suspect that I might need to include something else in my request, but I have no idea what that might be. Here is what I am currently sending....

"GET /data/2.5/forecast?q=pittsburgh,us&mode=xml&APPID=<myApiKey> HTTP/1.0"
"Host: api.openweathermap.org"
"Accept: application/xml"
"Cache-Control: no-cache"
"Connection: close"
{empty line}

I confess that I don't really know what I am doing, and am just trying to make semi-educated guesses. I would appreciate some advice on what request headers I should really be sending.

Many thanks!
