Data Inaccuracy

Sara McCormick Mar 22, 2019 02:57PM GMT

I am calling the daily forecast api for 3 days. Today is Mar. 22 and I want to see the forecast for Mar. 23 and Mar. 24. Using the following url's for the specified cities, the data being returned does not appear to match other weather sources. I am using the second and third list values returned, assuming the first set of data is for today (Mar 22).

San Diego{_apiKey}&units=imperial&cnt=3

Coachella, CA{_apiKey}&units=imperial&cnt=3

Oxnard, CA{_apiKey}&units=imperial&cnt=3

For temperature low/high, this is what was returned from OpenWeather vs what other weather sites are forecasting.

San Diego OpenWeather AccuWeather Weather Channel
Mar 23 36.75F / 60.55F 54 / 66 54 / 64
Mar 24 40.06F / 65.46F 53 / 67 53 / 66

Mar 23 37.56F / 67.48F 56 / 83 55 / 83
Mar 24 36.93F / 68.43F 55 / 84 56 / 86

Mar 23 52.18F / 58.32F 48 / 63 48 / 62
Mar 24 50.11F / 57.63F 48 / 65 48 / 64

The wind values seem to be off, as well.

And, do you provide a value for 'Chance of Precipitation'? Is this what the 'clouds' value is?

Hello Sara,

Thank you for report. We will check these locations.

Unfortunately, we don’t provide probability of precipitation.
